Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
External Cleaning
Wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water. Avoid using abrasive products as they can damage the surface. Regularly dust the condenser (black grill) and the compressor at the back of the appliance using a brush or vacuum cleaner to maintain efficiency and reduce electricity consumption.
Internal Cleaning
Clean the inside and accessories with a solution of warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not use detergents, abrasive powders, or highly perfumed cleaning products.
Before Maintenance
Always switch off and unplug the appliance before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work.
Servicing
Service the appliance only by an authorized engineer using genuine spare parts. Do not attempt repairs yourself as it may cause injury or serious malfunctioning.
Defrosting
The refrigerator automatically defrosts every time the compressor stops. Periodically clean the water discharge hole in the V-shaped drip collector at the back of the refrigerator compartment to prevent overflow.
